HARRISBURG, Pa. — The Pennsylvania State House of Representatives is scheduled to make movement on medical marijuana legislation Monday.
Senate Bill 3, which passed last year, is now being considered in the House after being placed on a backburner for a few months.
The legislation includes close to 200 amendments to the original bill presented by republican Senator Mike Folmer of York County. It would allow doctors to prescribe aspects of marijuana — like oils from the plant — to patients with certain medical conditions such as cancer, multiple sclerosis and HIV and AIDS.
